Job Description

Next Step Healthcare is seeking an experienced Clinical Liaison to oversee and direct patient referral efforts in Western Massachusetts, specifically the Berkshire/Vermont markets. 

The Clinical Liaison is responsible for growth and development of his/her assigned territory for admissions. The incumbent is responsible for marketing calls to appropriate referral sources in assigned territory and the on-going assessment and recruitment of residents for admissions to the facilities. 

Responsibilities:

  • Grow new referral opportunities. 
  • Act as liaison between facilities and referral sources.
  • Convert referrals to new residents.
  • Community outreach and relationship building
  • Coordinate admissions with facility team.
  • Ensure admission documentation is completed accurately and timely.

Qualifications:

  • Healthcare Sales and Marketing experience.
  • RN or LPN licensed in the State of Massachusetts.
  • 3 years of experience in this type of role, preferred.
  • Long-term care or skilled nursing experience, preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare sales, clinical liaison, long-term care nurse or case manager.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable speaking/negotiating with discharge planners and Insurance Case Managers.
  • Understanding of various insurance methodologies, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care insurance.
