Job Description

### **About Us**

Shyft Media is a bold, fast-growing creative marketing and automation agency. We specialize in social media management, high-impact video production, graphic design, and performance-driven campaigns. We’re a down-to-earth team that isn’t afraid to roll up our sleeves to get results. We’re looking for a **Video Editor** who can take raw footage and turn it into scroll-stopping content for our clients and internal projects.

### **Role Overview**

As our Video Editor, you’ll work closely with our creative team to bring stories to life through engaging video. You’ll edit social media content, ads, branded documentaries, event recaps, and more — always ensuring high-quality, polished output. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love experimenting with new formats, and have a sharp eye for storytelling, this role is for you.

### **Responsibilities**

* Edit short-form and long-form content for multiple platforms (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
* Cut, sequence, and color-correct raw footage into professional final deliverables.
* Add dynamic captions, graphics, motion elements, and sound design.
* Repurpose long-form shoots into short-form social media edits.
* Collaborate with videographers, designers, and strategists on storytelling and pacing.
* Stay current with social trends, editing techniques, and platform best practices.
* Organize and maintain project files, timelines, and media libraries.
* Meet deadlines consistently while managing multiple edits at once.

### **Qualifications**

* 2–4 years of professional editing experience (agency or social-first editing a plus).
* Proficiency in **Adobe Premiere Pro** (After Effects, Audition, and DaVinci Resolve a plus).
* Strong understanding of social media video formats and aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1, 16:9).
* Experience with motion graphics, captioning, and animation tools.
* Ability to match brand aesthetics across diverse industries.
* Knowledge of audio mixing, color grading, and storytelling techniques.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Portfolio or reel showcasing your editing skills (required).
